A FOURTH arrest has been made as part of a murder probe following the death of a man in Kilwinning.

Police confirmed this morning (Wednesday, October 30) that a 19-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the death of John Taylor.

Mr Taylor, 44, was found with serious injuries on the town's Pollock Crescent at around 1.55pm on Friday, October 18. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men - 26-year-old Kiey O’Connor and Kieran Lindsay, also 19 - have previously been arrested and charged with murder.

O’Connor appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, October 23 and Lindsay on Monday, 28 October.

Both made no plea and were remanded in custody.

A 53-year-old man who was previously arrested has been released pending further enquiries.

Detectives have set up a website that gives members of the public access to a form to send information directly to the Major Investigation Team, which can be submitted anonymously.
