THE man behind plans to revive the former Kings Revolution in Dalry has opened up on how he hopes to breath fresh life into the building.
Freddie Lauritzen purchased the former hotel, bar, cafe and soft play at the beginning of this year.
Since then, he has been carrying out work to bring the premises - which had been closed for more than a year - back to an acceptable standard.
Despite having been open on a number of occasions over the last decade, the Kings Revolution has suffered from neglect and vandalism during this time.
With Freddie now completing the initial repair process, he has started to investigate how he can bring the building on The Cross back.
While nothing is set in stone at this stage, there are a number of opportunities for Freddie to work with others within the community to provide a fantastic space for the town.
The old downstairs bar, cafe and soft play area could provide an excellent group space - should anyone be interested in taking it on.
The upstairs function room also offers a host of opportunities for parties and performances.
Freddie admits there is plenty of work still to be done, but he is confident of providing something that Dalry can be proud of.
