A FANTASTIC sum of £1,812 was raised to help with the running of the Barony Centre in West Kilbride following two successful fundraising events held in the village.
Organisers have issued an 'enormous thank you to everyone' for their generous donations from the raffles to the donations in supporting both events.
The raffle prizes were divided between two fundraising events - the Folk Night on October 11 and the Craft Materials Destash on October 19.
Spokesperson Kay Hall said: "Many thanks to our performers at the Folk Evening, David and Irene McCulloch and Tanzinne, and watch this space for the next event.
"Ticket sales raised £612 and the raffle raised £175. An excellent total of £787.
"A very respectable £1,812.03 was raised in total and is helping the Barony in its very challenging but worthwhile journey."
Craft Town Scotland, which runs weekly workshops and sessions for all ages, is looking to fundraise to secure the future of the Barony Centre and its café in the face of rising energy costs.
The centre and studios in the village are managed by the volunteer board of West Kilbride Community Initiative Limited. The initiative employs nine people part-time across the gallery, shop and café.
