NORTH Ayrshire paid a moving tribute to our fallen heroes at Remembrance services on Sunday.
The aim of the day, held on the second Sunday in November, is for people to stand together and remember the service and sacrifice of all those who have lost their lives in various wars.
This year's was a particularly special event for the Royal British Legion Saltcoats, Ardrossan and Stevenston branch, which formed 100 years ago.
The Saltcoats Parade formed up at 10.30am in Bradshaw St then followed the Isle of Cumbrae Pipe Band to the memorial.
The Ardrossan service started with a parade from behind the Ardrossan Library on Princess Street at 12.30pm before proceeding to the town's memorial in Glasgow Street.
Ian Barr, who served as a Corporal in The Royal Highland Fusiliers, led the Ardrossan parade behind the Colours with old comrades of the Parachute Regiment.
The Stevenston service began at 1.30pm, at the junction of New St and Moorpark Road West.
Other services took place in Beith, Dalry and West Kilbride.
