FOG and broken navigational aids at Ardrossan Harbour have led to the cancellation of evening services to Arran this evening.
Ferry operators CalMac confirmed this afternoon that the 6pm sailing from Ardrossan and the 7.20pm from Arran won't be running as planned.
They also warned that the 4.40pm sailing from Brodick to the mainland could be cancelled due to weather conditions.
The company said: "The 6pm from Ardrossan and 7.20pm from Brodick are cancelled due to a combination of forecast fog and the navigational aid at Ardrossan being inoperable.
"Until further notice, due to the main harbour navigational aid at Ardrossan being inoperable, the vessel will have reduced weather parameters when berthing during the hours of darkness.
"As such, the following sailings are at increased risk of disruption or cancellation during adverse weather: Depart Ardrossan – 8am and 6pm. Depart Brodick – 4.40pm and 7.20pm."
