GOOD news at last for ferry users - your chance of getting an early morning or evening sailing from Ardrossan to Arran has just improved greatly.
Operators CalMac confirmed on Tuesday morning that the main navigational aid at Ardrossan Harbour is now operating again.
For the last few weeks, passengers had been warned that cancellations in mornings and evenings were at greater risk of cancellation due to issues with the devices.
But CalMac announced: "The main harbour navigational aid at Ardrossan is now operable.
"Therefore, the following sailings are no longer at risk during hours of darkness: Depart Ardrossan – 7am, 6pm; Depart Brodick – 4.40am, 7.20am."
