THIS weekend saw the Kilwinning Darts Premier League season draw to a close with finals night held at the Blacklands Bowling Club.
Players have been battling it out all season but there could only be one winner on Saturday, November 23.
And after a thrilling final encounter, it was Chris 'The Fire' Lynn who took the title - his second in the competition's history.
Finals night saw just four players competing for glory - those who placed in the top positions across the regular league season.
The opening match saw second play third with Graham 'The Fury' Muir facing off against Wully 'The Crystal' Hays for a spot in the showpiece final.
In a thrilling encounter, Graham Muir edged out his opponent to claim a narrow 6-4 victory.
Next up was first versus fourth as Chris Lynn put in a dominant showing to defeat Brian 'Bullseye' Wallace 6-0 to complete the final line-up, which was a repeat of the competitions 'grand prix' tournament final earlier this year.
Lynn was out to avenge his defeat on that occasion and roared into the lead early before Muir closed the gap.
But it wasn't enough to put out 'The Fire' who secured victory with a stylish 60 checkout to take home the title.
The event also saw funds raised for charity throughout, with cash donated to the Ayrshire Hospice, North Ayrshire Cancer Care and the Beatson Cancer Charity.
Other competitions played this season saw John Tonner win the Championship division with Brian Strain runner-up.
Jim Law was League One winner with Gordon Gamble runner-up.
