SIX members of the Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team have received medals for their contributions to the emergency service.
The group were awarded the King's Coronation Medal having achieved five years service with HM Coastguard as of May 6 last year.
The medals are a tradition dating back to 1603, when James I was crowned, and are given to armed forces and frontline emergency service workers.
Those who received their medals from the local volunteer team were presented the honour by the Lord Lieutenant for Renfrewshire and Inverclyde, Colonel Peter McCarthy.
The ceremony was lead by divisional commander Sue Todd and area commander Robbie Robertson and saw a number of other Coastguard rescue team members honoured from across the west coast.
At the ceremony alongside those from Ardrossan were representatives from Cumbrae, Largs, Dunoon, Helensburgh, Rothesay and Kames.
