KILWINNING Community Fire Station is all set to host Santa in a drive-thru grotto later this month.
The event will be taking place on Sunday, December 8, and as always requires no booking and will be absolutely free of charge.
The grotto, which is held in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity, is always a massive hit and three different time slots have been arranged for 2024.
The first of these will be an ASN session which will run from 12-2pm and offer a more relaxed setting with lowered music and reduced flashing lights at the Stevenston Road station.
The next two slots will then take place from 3-4.30pm and from 6.30-8pm.
As a free event, organisers are reliant on support from the community to ensure the success of the grotto.
They have received a number of incredible donations so far from Tricia Moir School of Motoring, STP Fire and Rescue, Tesco in Saltcoats, Sodexo, Aldi in Saltcoats, Thorne Travel, Morrisons in Stevenston and Ayrshire Baby Loss Support.
Another massive donation came from Kilwinning fundraiser Michael Kirkum, who is in the midst of his own gift appeal for the Crosshouse Children's Fund.
He took time out of his efforts to spread some joy to the event, handing over an incredible 250 selection boxes to be handed out at the grotto.
