A THREE Towns project which recycles baby and child clothes, toys and equipment has been officially launched - and organisers are looking for volunteers to help.
Called 3.T. Helping Hands, the initiative has been set up by Beith Trust to help the most disadvantaged parents in Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston.
And the public have been invited to the official launch on Tuesday, December 10 from 2-3pm in the Argyle Community Centre, Saltcoats.
Beith Trust already run a highly successful similar project in the Garnock Valley known as G.V. Helping Hands.
A spokesperson for the Trust said: "While we’ve already supported families in this area, we are now establishing a dedicated base to expand our reach, strengthen our support network, and create incredible new opportunities for the local community.
"We are very excited to announce the details of our official launch event, designed to give you a chance to learn more about the amazing work this project does, how we can support local families and the amazing opportunities that this project’s expansion will bring to the Three Towns.
"We’ll have light refreshments available and anyone interested in the project is more than welcome to come along."
They added: "Operating and functioning in the same way as our G.V. Helping Hands project, 3.T. Helping Hands relies on volunteers and donations of baby and children’s clothes, toys and equipment which we then clean, launder and organise before sending them out to families in need.
"We are on the lookout for volunteers to help us make this expansion the best it can be, and this is your chance to make a meaningful difference by joining our passionate volunteer team.
"Every hour you give will help bring hope, comfort, and essential items to families who need them most. Whether you have a little time or a lot, your contribution will be life-changing - for them and you.
"We have three volunteer roles available: drivers who will collect donations, donation organisers who will launder and organise donations, referral organisers who will package up referrals and ensure they are all correct.
"Whether you’re driving, organising, or coordinating referrals, your role will have a lasting impact on local families. In return for your hard work and commitment, Beith Trust will provide you with various accredited training courses, role-specific training, discounted or free entry to Beith Trust events and a volunteer Christmas party at the end of the year!
"If you’re ready to join this incredible journey and help shape the future of your community, please contact us today.
"Together, we can create something truly extraordinary."
