Ardrossan star Billy Gilmour made a Three Towns youth team's day when he stopped in to hand out prizes during his trip back to Ayrshire at the weekend.
The 20-year-old Scotland player was visiting his Ardrossan home after his Euro 2020 experience - and even found the time to give back into the football community where he began from.
The youngsters from the Winton Rovers youth squad all received medals and trophies presented by the player.
It was revealed last week that Gilmour will be playing on loan at English Premier League team Norwich City next season.
However, at the Winton Rovers grounds, he was spotting wearing a Tass Thistle top – the club where he began his football journey - as he took part in a charity match between Tass and Winton Rovers coaches, much to the delight of the huge crowd who turned out.
He made his international debut in a warm-up match against the Netherlands, before starring against England at Wembley and being named Star of the Match.
His joy was cut short as a positive covid test ruled him out of Scotland's final group match, which ended in defeat to Croatia.
