Ardrossan Winton Rovers manager Stevie Wilson applauded his side for their convincing 4-0 win in the First Round of the Scottish Junior Cup away to Burghead Thistle.
Jordan Bruce opened the scoring for the visitors early in the tie from the penalty spot following a foul on him in the box.
Winton then grabbed a second before half time when good build up play saw Callum McDade get the ball in the box and he helped it on to Rory Campbell who slipped the ball past the keeper from about 10 yards.
Campbell then scored again late in the second half to put Winton comfortably in control at Forest Park.
David Donald then completed the scoring as they set up a home tie next month against Maryhill in the second round of the competition.
Speaking to the Herald, Wilson said: “The boys were unbelievable at the weekend and we controlled the game from start to finish.
“I thought we could have scored more goals as well to be honest, we hit the bar , their goalkeeper made a couple of good saves and we were a bit wasteful at times in front of goal.
“But other that our general play was excellent, we really knocked the ball about well.”
