North Ayrshire Athletics Club (NAAC) saw two of their members represent Scotland at the weekend in the Scottish Schools Athletics Association International Pentathlon.
The event took place on Saturday with Ben Heron and Nell McGregor selected to compete at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow against top athletes from around the UK.
Heron finished the day with five personal bests (PBs) from five events and the top Scottish over 16 boy.
He also placed seventh overall and helped his team to a third place finish. McGregor on the other hand got three PBs with the other two events extremely close to PBs.
She also finished in second place for the under 16 girl category and 12th overall, with her team narrowly missing out on third place.
A spokesperson for NAAC said: “A great experience for both of them, topped off by their brilliant performances.
“The club are very proud of their achievements and thank their coaches and parents for their continued support and encouragement.”
