Dalry Thistle manager Chris Wilson hailed his side for ending their season on a high as they beat Gartcairn 2-1 at the weekend.
Thistle went into the West of Scotland Football League Conference B clash in good form having won three out of their last four matches.
Despite that it was the away side who took the lead in the first half at Merksworth Park.
A looping cross hit off the back post and rebounded into the back of the net as the Cairn went in at the break ahead.
In the second half, Dalry rallied and goals from Kyle Taylor and Steven Collins gave them a winning end to their league campaign.
Speaking to the Herald, Wilson said:”I think we thoroughly deserved the win.
“We went behind to what was a freak goal but the players reacted well to it and we pretty much dominated the rest of the first half.
“Then we came in one nil down and said we need to keep going for this and playing like we have been.
“To be fair the players did and we got the goal back and then grabbed a late winner.
“Which I think shows their mentality now that they didn’t settle for the draw we kept going for the win.”
