It comes alomst exactly a year after the talented youngster signed his first professional contract with the Rugby Park side.

The Ardrossan youngster signed the terms in May of last year - keeping him contracted to the club until this year.

Gilmour said: "From joining Kilmarnock at the age of seven-years-old all the way through to playing my last game, I have made so many great memories in my 10 years here.

"Signing my first professional contract and being able to share my journey with such a great group of boys will always be remembered.

"I would also like to thank all the coaches and staff that I have worked with throughout this time for helping me get to where I am today."

What the nexts steps will be for the youngster is not yet clear - though it is known that Harvey had previously been on the radar of his brother's former club, Chelsea.
