TWO North Ayrshire rugby sides are on the nearing league title success after picking up yet more weekend wins.
Both Garnock RFC and the Ardrossan Accies have been in superb form this season - with both sides winning every single one of their first 14 league matches.
That form has saw them make the way to the top of the table in their respective leagues and with four matches remaining - on the cusp of glory.
For Garnock, it has been an outstanding campaign in the National League Division Four following their promotion from the top regional league last season.
In all but one of their 14 wins this campaign they have picked up a winning bonus point and now sit 13 points clear of nearest challengers Whitecraigs and 18 ahead of Strathmore who have played on match less.
It comes after yet another resounding win this weekend, defeating North Berwick 69-0.
The result means that a bonus point win in their next fixture - against Dunfermline on February 17 - could see them move well ahead of the chasing back to an almost insurmountable lead.
Though with both their nearest challengers not in action that week, it means they will have to wait until March 2 to secure the title when they travel to face Strathmore.
A win in both fixtures would lead to successive league title for the Lochshore side in what would be another incredible season.
While the Ardrossan Accies are chasing a title, and promotion, from the West Region League Division One.
After avoiding relegation by the skin of their teeth last season, this year has saw a remarkable turn in fortunes under new head coach Andrew Duncan.
This weekend saw the Memorial Field outfit travel to face Lenzie, picking up their 14th win of the season - and 11th bonus point win - in a 29-17 victory.
The result means that only two sides can now catch them at the top of the table with only four matches left to play.
Cup competitions could mean that the Accies need to wait months to secure top spot but with only six points required to wrap up mathematical success, it seems only a matter of time until they secure their return to the national leagues.
