KILWINNING Rangers have provided an update on the status of their squad following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
Ten players are set to depart Buffs Park upon the expiry of their current contracts as manager Chris Aitken begins his rebuild for a second season in the West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) First Division.
Among those leaving are eight players who were contracted to the club - goalkeepers Craig Gordon and Ewan Henderson; defenders Cammy McNair, Aldin El-Zubaidi and Neil McGregor; midfielders Gavin Millar and Alan Semple and attack Jack McAlpine.
Goalkeeper George O'Connor will also return to parent club Stranraer and midfielder Shay McLernon is heading back to Stirling Albion following his loan spell.
It was a challenging season for the Buffs who were unable to gain promotion back to the Premier Division at the first time of asking - ending the season in seventh place.
However, a number of last season's squad have signed up to another season in North Ayrshire.
Seven players have agreed new deals with Adam Caldwell, Blair MacIntyre, Dylan Mackin, Jack MacCalman, Jack McMahon, joe Coleman and Mark Lamont all signing extended contracts.
While some players - Bryan Boylan, Campbell McLean, Euan McInally, Jordan Stuart and Sean McGreer - already had deals in place which will see them remain at Buffs Park next season.
The club also confirmed that Josh Loudon, Graham Boyd, Keiren Wood, Mark McLuckie, Sam Duncan and club captain Ben Lewis have been offered new contracts though have yet to make their final decision.
