A KILBIRNIE bowler has been crowned as Scottish champion this week.
Megan Sproat can now call herself the best in the nation after a stunning victory in the ladies singles under 25 championship.
The talented bowler, who plays out of Ladeside of Kilbirnie Bowling Club, earned the crown after a thrilling 21-15 final win over Aimee Harris from Scotstounhill Bowling Club.
Though it wasn't all plain sailing, with Megan having to come from behind to earn the title.
Many have been quick to congratulate the Garnock Valley girl since her win, including Ayrshire Bowling Association North District secretary Willie McVey.
He said: "It's with the greatest pleasure that I share and congratulate Megan Sproat of Ladeside of Kilbirnie BC on becoming the Scottish Under 25's Ladies Champion.
"It is an incredible achievement and I'm sure we will all wish her the greatest. As they are saying up at Ladeside, 'well done oor Meg'."
A spokesperson for her home club added: "Congratulations to Megan Sproat, as club we are over the moon for her."
