ARDROSSAN Winton Rovers have launched a fundraising campaign in a bid to support their planned stadium projects.

Work in upgrading the playing surface at Winton Park is nearly complete, with the state-of-the-art facility to be managed thereafter by the Ardrossan Community Sports Hub.

However, the remainder of the ground is still to be owned and operated by the football club.

As they launched their campaign, the committee at Ardrossan say that large parts of the stadium are "in dire need of some TLC".

A spokesperson said: "The remedial work is far beyond our annual budget, and we are looking to raise some additional funds to ensure this work is completed in a timely manner, and in keeping with the new facilities.

"Your money will be spent on materials to undertake general repair work of the pitch boundaries.

"In addition - we will be extending our current supporters enclosure to protect you our supporters from the winter elements.

"We are incredibly grateful for any support you can provide. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to our goal and will make a significant impact."

The club are hoping to raise a total of £10,000 as they look to complete various projects around Winton Park.

Those who are looking to make a donation are able to do so online at tinyurl.com/WintonFundraising.

Those who wish to find out more information are being encouraged to contact the club.

A spokesperson added: "If you have any questions about our campaign or how the funds will be used, please feel free to reach out.

"We believe in transparency and are happy to provide any information you need to make an informed decision about donating."
