IT was a big weekend of cup action for Ayrshire's amateur sides, with progression to the next round on everyone's mind. 

There were some big scores on the doors in the second round of the West of Scotland Cup. 

Annbank were big 10-1 winners over Elderslie, whilst Whitletts Victoria scored five without reply against Forehill. 

Dailly got the better of Cambusdoon in an all-South Ayrshire tie, whilst Galston narrowly beat Glenvale Carlton 2-1. 

Glenburn MW were comfortable 4-0 winners against Troon Dundonald, with Irvine Thistle squeezing through on penalties against Largs Thistle. 

Kilbride Thistle got the better of Knightswood, whilst New Farm Loch triumphed 4-2 against Rutherglen Glencairn. 

Shortlees were comfortable 5-1 winners against Blackthorn Rovers.

However, Crosshouse Waverley, Kilmarnock AFC, Mauchline and Minishant all failed to reach the fourth round. 

Elsewhere, Knockentiber got the better of Stewarton Annick 4-2 in the only game in the Premier League. 

In Division 1, Drongan were too strong for Black's, whilst Beith demolished Crosshill Thistle 6-0.

In Division 2, Catrine beat New Cumnock Community 3-0, and Kilwinning edged out Dean Thistle 2-1.

West Kilbride were narrowly beaten on penalties by Giffnock North in the Scottish Amateur Cup second round replay.
