A GARNOCK Valley girls football team are looking to add to their playing squads ahead of the new season.

Kilbirnie Ladeside Girls are looking for youngsters born from 2009-2011 to bolster both their under 16 - who in particular are on the lookout for a striker and goalkeeper - and 14 teams.

Both squads are hoping to add to their existing pool of players ahead of the commencement of the 2025 season.

For those who would be keen to join the under 16 side, training would be held at the Garnock Community Campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6-7pm, with matches played on Sunday.

The under 14 team train on Mondays and Wednesdays between the same times at the same location and play matches on a Saturday.

Experience is preferred for those looking to join though is not a requirement.

Training sessions would be free for the first month with a membership cost of £30 per month thereafter. Full match day and training kit would be provided.

A spokesperson said: "Development, progression and enjoyment are at the centre of our focus.

"We are an already talented group of girls who work and support each other, we are recruiting players who would compliment the current squads."
